Pre-Order

With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.

Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!

Pre-Launch

With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

We estimate this will be ready for despatch to you or collection via Click & Collect on Undetermined

Hassle free returns

We know that you can't always get it right first time especially when buying footwear online so we have a relaxed return policy.

We need to be able to sell any items returned as new so please make sure that any items returned are unused and clean with all the original packaging intact.

We offer a 21 day returns period but don't worry if you run over this we just ask that any items coming back are sent back sooner rather than later as we need to get them listed for sale again.

We do not pay any return postage costs so you will need to cover the cost of returns, the post office is usually the best service for sending small to medium parcels back but there are many parcel brokers that will work too.

The Royal Mail Click & Drop service is a fast and good value way to return most items if you have access to a printer at home. This service is not operated by us.

Once we have the item back we will check it and exchange the size or process the refund as fast as we can.

If you think there is a manufacturing issue with a product bought from us then please email us with a description and photos of any issue and the proof of purchase. info@backcountryuk.com

For UK orders we will refund the original outward postage at our basic postage cost typically around £8 or if we are exchanging the size we normally send this out at no extra cost (highlands & Islands may be an exception to this)

We can't refund the outward shipping cost for international returns

The ZAG Ubac 89 is the narrower version of the classic 95mm ski touring ski.

With the emphasis on ease of control and efficiency, the Ubac 89 are designed to give dependable and fun skiing whether you're hitting early morning boiler plate, perfect powder stashes, spring snow, full on chop or all of the above!

89mm is a very versatile width giving excellent edge hold in fiormer conditions whilst still givving enough float for all but the deepest days. They use a healthy tip rocker and small tail rocker to make turn initiation easier regardless of the snow type and to reduce any hooking of the tip and tail. The rockers also make keeping the tips up much easier in soft snow and keep the skis nimble on hard pack and between bumps.

At only 2.6KG per pair in 178cm these are no doubt a lightweight ski but they are heavy enough to still give good vibration dampening and punch when in the crud.

The ZAG Ubac 89 are a very versatile touring ski, a great choice for people wanting a lightweight ski touring ski that will keep the descents easy and fun regardless of what the mountain throws at you!
