Pre-Order

With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.

Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!

Pre-Launch

With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

Hassle free returns

We know that you can't always get it right first time especially when buying footwear online so we have a relaxed return policy.

We need to be able to sell any items returned as new so please make sure that any items returned are unused and clean with all the original packaging intact.

We offer a 21 day returns period but don't worry if you run over this a little, we just ask that any items coming back are sent back sooner rather than later as we need to get them listed for sale again.

We do not pay any return postage costs so you will need to cover the cost of returns, the post office is usually the best service for sending small to medium parcels back but there are many parcel brokers that will work too.

The Royal Mail Click & Drop service is a fast and good value way to return most items if you have access to a printer at home. This service is not operated by us.

Once we have the item back we will check it and exchange the size or process the refund as fast as we can.

If you think there is a manufacturing issue with a product bought from us then please email us with a description and photos of any issue and the proof of purchase. info@backcountryuk.com

For UK orders we will refund the original outward postage at our basic postage cost, or if we are exchanging the size we normally send out the replacement at no extra cost (highlands & Islands may be an exception to this)

We can't refund the outward shipping cost for international returns

The new touring version of Elan's hugely popular Ripstick freeride skis.

The RipstickTour 88 W ski is built to blend high performance at a low weight, for the perfect mix of downhill performance and efficient climbing ability. Long ascents and fun descents is the name of the game.

Ripstick Tour 88 skis feature Elan's Amphibio Technology - this is a clever use of different camber and rocker profiles on the inside and outside edge of the ski. The inside edge gets a longer camber profile for increased grip and precision, whilst the outside edge gets more rocker to give forgiveness and easier turn initiation. This means that there is a left and a right ski - so don't get them mixed up - you can really tell the difference when you do!

The 88mm waist makes this RipstickTour 88 W super versatile and at just 2.4kg per pair in 163cm, they compare favourably with other modern lightweight touring skis of similar dimensions.

Combined with a lightweight pin binding, the Elan Ripstick Tour 88 W will suit women who want a versatile touring ski setup for both single and multiday tours, that can also be used occasionally in resort.
