Pre-Order

With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.

Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!

Pre-Launch

With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

Hassle free returns

We know that you can't always get it right first time especially when buying footwear online so we have a relaxed return policy.

We need to be able to sell any items returned as new so please make sure that any items returned are unused and clean with all the original packaging intact.

We offer a 21 day returns period but don't worry if you run over this a little, we just ask that any items coming back are sent back sooner rather than later as we need to get them listed for sale again.

We do not pay any return postage costs so you will need to cover the cost of returns, the post office is usually the best service for sending small to medium parcels back but there are many parcel brokers that will work too.

The Royal Mail Click & Drop service is a fast and good value way to return most items if you have access to a printer at home. This service is not operated by us.

Once we have the item back we will check it and exchange the size or process the refund as fast as we can.

If you think there is a manufacturing issue with a product bought from us then please email us with a description and photos of any issue and the proof of purchase. info@backcountryuk.com

For UK orders we will refund the original outward postage at our basic postage cost, or if we are exchanging the size we normally send out the replacement at no extra cost (highlands & Islands may be an exception to this)

We can't refund the outward shipping cost for international returns

The result of a scientific life cycle assessment, the lower-impact design reduces overall production waste and cuts CO2 equivalent emissions by 30% (compared with the Backland 85, 2021). Incorporating more low-carbon raw materials and waste-reducing sidewalls, this construction significantly reduces environmental impact while optimizing the ski’s versatility on every type of touring terrain. All-Terrain Profile uses more poplar wood, less fiberglass, and less resin to create a ski shape that offers greater stability. HRZN 3D features a uniquely beveled tip that adds float in powder and seamlessly integrates into the Dura Cap sidewall for a hyper-responsive tip-to-sidewall-to-edge connection. A versatile ski built for those skiers who enjoy touring the entire mountain, the Backland 88 delivers soulful performance in any terrain. A brand new size in the fantastic Backland line up and a ski we were all itching to try here at BackcountyUK. With the same sustainability credentials as the bigger brother, the Backland 95, we were not dissapointed.

OK its not massively lighter than the Backland 95, but every little counts as they say, and the 140 grams less underfoot and the slimmer profile underfoot means the skin track is an easier place to be, saving much needed energy for the way down.

As an allrounder this really can do it all. Whilst testing last winter we found that it suited the slightly leaner snow pack we tend to get here in Scotland. Yet the pockets of fresh were dispatched with ease thanks to the HRZN 3D tip giving great float and offering that same surfy feel as its bigger brother.
