ATK are an Italian Ski Touring Binding brand with some fantastic revolutionary lightweight binding designs manufactured to the highest quality.
The C-Raider 10 is a super light and powerful ski touring and free ride binding..
Featuring a Carbon plastic toe piece base, the C-Raider 10 is designed to deliver the performance of the amazing Raider series of bindings (The Raider 10 and 12) at a lower price and weight!
Using the same tried and tested heel piece, brake and climbing positions as the R12 and FR14, the C-Raider is not totally new, this is good news to us as we really rate this heel design. The new introduction is the 30% Carbon toe piece which uses this strong and stiff material and a wide mounting pattern to deliver rock solid skiing performance and shave off a few grams.
ATK have made the C-Raider 10 compatible with the same RA ski crampon as all their other bindings and the Freeride spacer can also be added to further boost the edge control at the heel.
One of the unique features of the ATK designs is there Cam release system, this clever design utilises a Cam profile pressed against the heel pins by a pre tensioned spring, when a boot steps into the binding or a fall requiring vertical release occurs, the Cam profile provides a precise resistance to the pins. This system allows an accurate, adjustable control of the release tension whilst maintaining an easy step in, solid power transfer whilst skiing and keeps the weight of the binding down.
Those who are drawn to ATK for their use of super high quality Aluminium may still prefer to go with either the Raider or Raider EVO bindings but for people who want that ATK performance and are happy to shave £60 and 30gms off the C-Raider 10 makes an excellent choice!
