Pre-Order

With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.

Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!

Pre-Launch

With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

Hassle free returns

We know that you can't always get it right first time especially when buying footwear online so we have a relaxed return policy.

We need to be able to sell any items returned as new so please make sure that any items returned are unused and clean with all the original packaging intact.

We offer a 21 day returns period but don't worry if you run over this we just ask that any items coming back are sent back sooner rather than later as we need to get them listed for sale again.

We do not pay any return postage costs so you will need to cover the cost of returns, the post office is usually the best service for sending small to medium parcels back but there are many parcel brokers that will work too.

The Royal Mail Click & Drop service is a fast and good value way to return most items if you have access to a printer at home. This service is not operated by us.

Once we have the item back we will check it and exchange the size or process the refund as fast as we can.

For UK orders we will refund the original outward postage at our basic postage cost typically around £8 or if we are exchanging the size we normally send this out at no extra cost (highlands & Islands may be an exception to this)

Scarpa's Flagship Women's Ski Touring boot

Scarpa have kept the external walk / ski mechanisms. These are easy to use, reliable and rock solid when locked into ski mode allowing zero play when flexing into the cuffs. It is worth making sure that snow and ice is kept out of the bar that the walk mech locks onto as this can mean the boot is difficult to use. A bit of lubricant around the bar works well to resolve this.

They still feature the genuine Dynafit Quick Step fittings and have a heel lug which is compatible with Marker Kingpin and Fritschi Tecton 12 bindings.

So how do they fit? The shell shape and volume is the same as the previous model of the Gea. The new liner certainly gives a different fit though, the initial feeling before moulding is more even and a little more comfortable, the heel hold feels excellent and there is less depth over the forefoot and toes which could feel a bit too deep on earlier models. They are still fairly low volume, but feel more even over the instep area which was always the key area for the Gea. Initially I didn't notice the same pressure point down the outside of the foot particularly towards the rear (5th Met base) area but if needed the shell can still be stretched here.

If you've had an earlier model then chances are you should be able to get a good fit from the new series, but if you've tried these in the past and found them too tight then you may find the same issue with this latest incarnation.
